Cadillac Fairview, The Interchange
IN8 Design transformed a decommissioned concourse restaurant and adjacent parking area within Toronto’s Toronto-Dominion Centre into The Interchange; a secure, amenity-rich bicycle storage and changeroom facility that redefines commuter wellness.
The design maps a user’s metamorphosis from street entry, complete with gear and transport, to a refreshed and work-ready exit into the PATH system. Every stage was considered with care, dignity, and flow, creating a seamless journey that elevates the everyday. A concourse-level mural, graphic design by Strange Colour, extends this ethos, evoking movement and exchange while marking the facility’s presence within the city’s daily rhythm.
By uniting openness, flexibility, and thoughtful planning, the team delivered a forward-thinking space that meets the evolving needs of urban commuters while integrating harmoniously into a landmark modernist complex.
