Eaton Centre Towers Multi-Tenant Floor Washrooms
For Cadillac Fairview’s Toronto Eaton Centre location, IN8 Design was engaged to update the multi-tenant floor washrooms across multiple levels at 1 Dundas and 20 Queen, renewing spaces that had remained largely unchanged since the towers were built. The ongoing renovation brings modern performance to high-traffic environments that support hundreds of daily users.
Each tower received its own identity, designed in dialogue with its relative elevator lobby. At 1 Dundas, a dramatic black palette complements HOK’s design of the lobby renovation while a lighter palette, with large-format white tiles reducing grout lines and simplifying maintenance, was developed for 20 Queen. This brighter palette anticipates the future lobby redesign.
In both towers, refined materials, upgraded partitions that enhance privacy, improved lighting, and touchless faucets and soap dispensers that support accessibility and hygiene standards come together to create durable, efficient washroom environments suited to a high-traffic commercial setting.
This carefully considered refresh reflects Cadillac Fairview’s ongoing investment in user experience and operational performance across its downtown Toronto portfolio.
