Our team is as committed to inspirational contemporary design as it is to providing service excellence at every stage of the project.

The firm is committed to the idea of design collaboration, in which other partners play important roles in both concept development and implementation. We strongly believe that innovation arises from the meeting of many different minds.

Michel Arcand

When Michel was featured in the 2007 Globe and Mail ‘Make Space for Good Design’ campaign, he was quoted as saying ‘I see good design as a beautiful combination of order and organization’, a belief that has underpinned his years of successful practice.

Michel’s rational design ethic focuses on clarity of planning, expression and space sculpting – tempered by a genuine joie de vivre. His relentless attention to detail is balanced by a passion for art and design objects, both of which he is an avid collector.

As project manager in a Facilities department for a leading investment group, Michel was responsible for 350,000 sq. ft. of facilities initiatives nation wide, managing individual project budgets up to $4+ million. That experience, coupled with years of increasing responsibility – and design awards – with some of the most celebrated design firms in Canada, created a solid foundation for the 2009 launch of his firm.

A 1986 Ryerson graduate, Michel later achieved both LEED® and BCIN accreditations.

Don Parker

With a resolute focus on his clients’ objectives, Don has spent 30 years creating award-winning corporate facilities that support business plans strategically. His collaborative, consensus-building approach to complex assignments is a great benefit for his clients and associates. Don is known for building and maintaining a respectful rapport with multi-disciplined project teams as well as with client management and user groups.

Focusing on the role that work environment plays with respect to employee retention and productivity, Don’s design solutions integrate interior design, architectural and technology elements.

Those solutions are solidly grounded in functionality. Don is especially skilled in conducting special needs assessment studies to establish user requirements such as concerns about space, proximity relationships, special services, technological and environmental issues, which can influence the design and specifications for building.

A skilled leader, Don has guided teams of multi-disciplined consultants, monitored project budgets as large as $30 million, coordinated project schedules more than four years in duration and managed contract documents for projects up to 535,000 sq. ft.

A 1983 Ryerson graduate, Don has earned LEED® and BCIN accreditations.
